Liis Lemsalu is an Estonian singer and songwriter, who was first introduced to the music business in Norway, where she participated with a choir in recording an album of Norwegian children’s songs. In Estonia, her public music career began with winning the fourth season of “Eesti otsib superstaari” (Estonian Pop Idol).
Her two albums and one EP were produced in collaboration with well-known musicians from Estonia, Sweden, Finland and USA. The many singles from these releases (e.g., „Sinu ees“, „Aeg on käes“, „Püüab meid“), co-written and co-produced by Liis herself, have received a lot of airplay on different radio stations. The top 50 songs of 2017 included four of hers! Liis has been a finalist in the Estonian Song contest for several times and is also a much-loved participant in the TV shows “Laula mu laulu”, “Su nägu kõlab tuttavalt” (Your Face Sounds Familiar) and several other productions. She was the Female Artist of the Year in 2012 and 2018; this year, her latest album “+1” also brought her the award for the Pop Album of the Year.
