Baltic Sun opening gala

The first day of the inaugural Baltic Sun festival will be kicked off with a grand gala concert in the courtyard of Narva Castle! World-renown conductor Kristjan Järvi will bring together several generations of Estonian musicians. In the first part of the gala, some of the most brilliant artists of Estonian pop, rock, electronic and classical music – NOËP, Erki Pärnoja, string quartet Prezioso and DJ Sander Mölder – take the stage. In the second part, the festival will be graced by legendary Anne Veski, who is going to perform her indelible hits.

Guitarist, composer and multi-instrumentalist Erki Pärnoja is well-known for his work with Ewert and the Two Dragons, but also as a versatile solo artist. In 2016, he released his debut EP “Himmelbjerget” to much notice. This cinematic piece of music with Western-guitars and analogue synthesisers has now a worthy sequel – “Efterglow”, a concept album about the finitude of mortal life. Erki brought home the awards for ‘Male Artist of the Year’ and ‘Alternative/Indie Album of the Year’ from the 2018 Estonian Music Awards.
